Working in the Theater, Trade Show, Entertainment and Events industries is hard enough with regular feast and famine conditions. The closures resulting from the worldwide pandemic of the coronavirus has displaced thousands of workers around the US who rely on these industries to pay their bills. With little expectation of help from government agencies, there is an immediate need to support workers anticipating months without jobs. See below for details about how the money will be used.

The events and entertainment industries have helped a lot of us in a lot of ways. For many, we got a start there, or learned a skill, or made a good living. If you have the means - this is your chance to give back. All proceeds donated here will go directly to emergency financial assistance programs for event and entertainment industry workers.

Contact The Actors Fund and request Emergency Financial Assistance.

We do ask that you please consider your situation carefully and reserve emergency assistance requests for those that are actually facing emergencey conditions. This would be needing money immediatly for food, shelter, or medical assistance.

For those who don't fall into either of the groups above:

You know that concert you had tickets to, or that convention your company was going to that cancelled at the last minute? Those events take hundreds of people to set them up, people who rely on that work for their livelihoods. With all public gatherings on a government mandated hiatus, the people responsible for staffing these events are in immediate need of financial support.

Why Donate Here:

  1. We are actively grouping the donations we receive here to go only to emergency financial assistance programs. This is being coordinated directly with the receiving charities - they will not be allowed to divert these funds to other programs.

  2. All donations to this site will be grouped together before being sent to the receiving charities. The charities will not be able waste money in the future sending marketing material asking for more donations to hundreds of prior contributors. Big High 5 will never contact you asking for more donations. That's not how we work.

  3. We are constantly seeking other emergency assistance programs to make sure the money we receive gets to the people who need it in the fastest and most efficient method. If you have a suggestion for how we can do this better: Contact Us!
